Q&A

Are all the women you shoot models? No, I rarely shoot models. Most of my clients are soccer moms or professionals over 30. I’ve photographed 50 year old school teachers and curvy gals who just finished recovering from cancer. Many of the women I photograph do not want their images shared with the wider world, however, so I use models to provide examples of what I do.

What are your photography sessions like? Light, fun, and celebratory. At a location of your choosing you’ll get a gorgeous makeover while sipping champagne and chatting with one of your girlfriends.

Can I bring someone with me? Absolutely! My sessions are geared for two or more. Bring a friend, mom, or sister! Even if they don’t want to shoot it’s always nice to have support. But remember this is YOUR time! Leave those kids with a sitter and come PAMPER yourself!!!

But I don’t know how to pose? I will pose you. Every hand movement, gesture, and expression will be carefully guided for maximum effect. I work with all body types, and create poses designed to be flattering on you as an individual.

But I’m not photogenic? All women are beautiful. My job is to bring out what naturally exists in you. This is an opportunity to get outside of your normal routine and become that gorgeous girl that all women have somewhere within.

What should I wear? Bring at least 3 changes. Make sure they are different colors and not all black. Solid colors work best (preferably no stripes or patterns). If you are shooting boudoir bring at least one gown or cocktail dress in addition to lingerie. If you are going to shoot with a girlfriend, mom, or sister make sure to bring jeans and a black top (or something similar) for the group shot. And don’t forget accessories! Shoes, jewelry, and anything that is meaningful to you that can be included.

What about hair and makeup? Professional, high quality, hair and makeup is provided at all my sessions, and is essential to creating the type of images that I provide.

Do you use Photoshop? Yes, but not in a
heavy handed way. You will always look like yourself. Good lighting and makeup are the primary drivers behind my “look.” I never blur or distort the skin. I do, however, lighten shadows making wrinkles less visible, and remove blemishes, or stretch marks. I will also remove anything the client asks me to with certain exceptions.
